When killers and liars are rewarded by the fearful

GNU = hypocrisy...the sad fact that nothing good comes from lies.

Coup plotters were rewarded through the false opposition provided by MDC leadership.
(One cant address a problem looking at Zimbabwe through the lens of fear, greed, and using 'public service' as a means to gain from being foreign puppets. Political rallies to ego boost for 'deadwood'... isnt involving people in the process of their own liberation)

Imagine its called the Movement for Democratic Change...it ends up sanitizing and legtimizing dictatorship and tyranny.

How bad a tyranny? ...During the March-June 2008 violence killers removed the eyes, ears or tounges from those they had killed as a means to getting 'paid per head'.

Those that organized the murders are part of the GNU.

As someone wrote...'Zimbabwe - at most levels has since abandoned the will of the people and is largley motivated by personal interests at many levels.'

That attitude will need a fundamental rethink from all of us if people want to live in a decent country.

The problem with genocides... is how they've been framed. Genocides, like in Armenia, Rwanda, Darfur and Iraq, have repeatedly been (and still are) framed as conflicts. Conflicts imply that there are two sides to a problem - a problem that can be solved with the intervention of an impartial third party. "But with genocides...there's nothing to work out. One side is being targeted by another for the sole reason that the bully or genocidaire has contempt for the target. [... purposefully calls them targets, not victims, because it means the action and the responsibility lie solely with the bully.] There's nothing - at all - that the target can do. The only solution is for a third party to intervene and physically safeguard the target from the bully [or genocidaire]."

'Evil' happens because speaking out against it..and actually stopping it are 2 different things...

NEO-LIBERAL AFRICAN SELL-OUTS wrestle with MAOIST AFRICAN SELL-OUTS while people suffer

Much has been written by theZIMBABWEinsurgency about the brutal tactics of the OPFOR tyranny. However it seems that few people in Zimbabwe know about the terrible history of the globalists who fund and support Zanu-PF and the so called opposition.

The reason Zimbabwe and much of Africa suffers is we are ruled by sell-outs and puppets who have no ideas or interest in national development. The basis of the Zimbabwe conflict is the all mighty global controllers versus some of their former stooges.
Modern history is full of such examples where the controllers turned on and removed their own proxies or legitimate regimes from power and replaced them with new stooges (over 72 'interventions' since 1945, millions dead to gain full spectrum dominance of resources in order to further selfish interests). Contrary to his bellecose rants and rhetoric about liberation credentials Robert Mugabe is a Europhile raised by Jesuits so much so that he was given a knighthood while the slaughter of the Gukurahundi (mass killing of fellow Africans) was there in full view.

There is a saying ...show me your friends and I will tell you who you are...sadly the associates of Zanu PF and the neo-liberal 'friends' of the MDC elite show they do not care about anything but power.

At the heart of these is The Round Table, this was created in London in the latter years of the 19th century. Its first official "leader" was Cecil Rhodes, the man who mercilessly manipulated Southern Africa and took those lands from the black peoples. Although, in theory, black people are back in political control of Africa, the real decisions are still made by the European and American elites via their black puppet presidents and leaders. "Independence" is an illusion.Rhodes played tribe against tribe until they destroyed each other in war, so allowing Rhodes ...to take over. The same is happening today ...Rhodes said the goal of the Round Table was to create World Government...When he died in 1902, he left money in his will to fund "Rhodes Scholarships" in which overseas students had their expenses paid to study at Oxford University -...these "Rhodes Scholars" go back to their countries to enter positions of political, economic, and media power... In 1919, came the Versailles Peace Conference near Paris... It was while in Paris that... Round Table, members met at the Hotel Majestic to begin the process of creating the Bilderberg-CFR-RIIA-Trilateral Commission network.

Many of the prominent blacks/Africans making comment on the Zimbabwe situation today are masonic members of CFR or think-tanks, foundations and groups linked or affiliated with the original wicked anti African, terrorist organizations set up by Cecil Rhodes and others. The question to them is knowing the destruction caused to Africa by these people...why in all good conscience do you sell out to them?

US Government Report Undermines Zimbabwe Oppositions Claim of Independence

The US government had a hand in formulating the policy platform of the Tsvangirai faction of the Movement for Democratic Change, Zimbabwe’s main opposition party, and funded community-based newsletters to create a platform to persuade Zimbabweans to accept Washington’s point of view, according to a US Government report

The report boasts that Washington is the undisputed leader in nurturing anti-government civil society organizations in Zimbabwe, operating through a CIA-interlocked organization led by former New York investment banker and Michael Milken right-hand man, Peter Ackerman.
In a November 16, 2007 letter accompanying the US State Department’s “Zimbabwe 2007 Performance Report,” US ambassador to Zimbabwe James McGee wrote that,
“Working closely with like-minded governments, we continued diplomatic efforts to maintain pressure on the Government of Zimbabwe and to remind the regime that fundamental changes…are a prerequisite to reengagement with the international community.”
McGee called for economic reform, translated as abandonment of Harare’s economic program of favoring Zimbabweans over foreign investors, an end to price controls, and privatization of state-owned enterprises.
The neo-liberal, foreign investor-friendly economic policies Washington favors are central to the policy platform of the Tsvangirai faction of the MDC. The State Department document reveals that the MDC’s policy orientation may be based more on US government direction than its own deliberations. According to the report,
“The (US government)…assisted the MDC to effectively identify, research, and articulate policy positions and ideas within Zimbabwe, in the region, and beyond. In particular, (US government) technical assistance was pivotal in supporting (the) MDC’s formulation and communication of a comprehensive policy platform.”
Critics of the party point to the absence of any difference between its policy proposals and those favored in Washington for African countries, an absence that may be explained in the US government’s helping “the MDC to identify, research, and articulate policy positions and ideas, and develop and communicate a policy platform.”
US government assistance to the MDC’s Tsvangirai faction didn’t stop at formulating and articulating a policy platform, the report says, but extended to helping the MDC formulate strategy to oppose the Mugabe government. According to the State Department, the US government,
“provided technical assistance to the MDC…to enable it to conduct regular strategic planning meetings to establish goals, identify key objectives, prioritize activities, and determine performance benchmarks.”
The tone of the report paints Zimbabweans as being incapable of establishing goals, setting priorities, and measuring performance themselves and therefore requiring US assistance to perform basic organizational tasks. It may be that the assistance US advisors provided is more accurately, and less tactfully, called direction.
The technical aid was furnished by the International Republican Institute, the Republican Party arm of the US Congress’s National Endowment for Democracy, whose chairman is John McCain. According to the State Department document, the,
“IRI held a workshop for Tsvangirai’s shadow government at which each shadow minister presented and defended his/her policy positions. A panel of technical experts grilled presenters on the technical content of their policies.”
This assistance was deemed by the State Department to be “critical to building the capacity of (the MDC) to operate effectively and to enable (it) to contend in the (2008) Presidential and Parliamentary elections, and to be prepared to govern.”
On top of helping the MDC shape its policy platform, the report also reveals that the US government helped shape public opinion in Zimbabwe through support for Voice of America broadcasting and community-based newsletters.
While portraying its role as simply one of delivering assistance, the State Department makes clear in its report that the newsletters provided the US government with a platform “to inform Zimbabweans about issues important to them.” Rather than funding community-based journalism, the report reveals that the State Department underwrote the newsletters to use them as vehicles for disseminating US government propaganda.
The State Department report also offers insight into the financial lengths Washington was prepared to go to create and sustain a civil society apparatus to oppose the Mugabe government. In 2007, Washington gave Freedom House and PACT a total of $1.8 million to back civil society organizations that were hostile to the Mugabe government. Freedom House, headed by former Michael Milken right-hand man, Peter Ackerman, is interlocked with the CIA, according to Edward Herman and Noam Chomsky in Manufacturing Consent.
In addition, over $400,000 was funnelled to Voice of America to counter Harare’s efforts to jam VOA anti-government broadcasts. Washington had been supporting VOA’s Studio 7, an anti-Mugabe radio program, since 2002. According to the report, “the program consisted of English, Shona and Ndebele broadcasts for an hour and a half per day, five days per week, until July 2007, when broadcasts were expanded to seven days a week.”
To thwart Harare’s jamming efforts, VOA’s broadcast time was expanded, and shortwave radios were distributed to Zimbabweans. In addition, publicity campaigns were undertaken to build Studio 7’s profile “via the distribution of calendars and pens, advertising in the print media and a text messaging campaign.”
The State Department describes Studio 7 as providing a platform for groups opposed to the Mugabe government and its land reform and economic indigenization policies: “the political opposition, exile groups, democracy activists and human rights proponents” – largely the same groups the US government was funding through Freedom House and PACT.
Conspicuously absent from the report’s list of political parties the US government provided “democracy and governance” assistance to in 2007 was Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party. Defenders of US democracy promotion insist that the US government promotes democratic processes aboard, not political parties, but only one party in Zimbabwe received US government assistance: the Tsvangirai faction of the MDC.
That, however, wasn’t Washington’s goal. The report says the US government planned to aid two political parties in Zimbabwe: presumably Tsvangirai’s MDC faction and the MDC faction led by Arthur Mutambara. But when the US government approached Mutamabara’s party, it was “rebuffed.” Mutambara has complained publicly about US imperialism and hypocrisy in its foreign policy and has manoeuvred to keep himself free from the taint of being an instrument of Western foreign policy.
To square the circle, and prove that it is promoting democracy and not political parties, the US government calls Tsvangirai’s MDC faction the “democratic opposition.” It is not by accident that the MDC’s full name is “the Movement for Democratic Change,” or that another party that once received US government assistance, Serbia’s the DOS, the Democratic Opposition of Serbia, also incorporated the word democracy into its name. The Western mass media mimic the US government designation of the foreign political parties Washington supports as being a “democratic opposition”, thus reinforcing the deception that US support for selected foreign political parties is democracy promotion, not illegitimate interference in the internal politics of other countries.
The report boasts that the US has been “the undisputed leader among the donor community in providing assistance to civil society,” providing “technical assistance and small grants to 29” civil society organizations through its “implementing partners”, Freedom House and PACT. Grants and assistance were provided to improve “strategic planning, communication, proposal writing (and) platform development.”
Proposal writing is emphasized, the report explains, to equip civil society organizations with the skills necessary to land additional grants from private foundations. According to the State Department,
“youth organizations like the Zimbabwe National Students’ Union (ZINASU) and Youth Initiatives for Democracy in Zimbabwe (YIDEZ) are two good examples of…(civil society organizations that were) nurtured through US (State Department) funding from an idea to a level where they are able to stand on their own and attract other funders.”
Defenders of the idea that civil society organizations are not created and guided by US government funding, but represent spontaneously arising grassroots organizations that would exist even if they hadn’t received US government largesse, paint a picture far different from the report’s reference to Washington nurturing civil society organizations from an idea to a level where they’re able to attract other funders and stand on their own.
The MDC insists it is an independent political party, and anti-Mugabe civil society organizations and their defenders are adamant that Zimbabwe’s civil society is not under foreign control. Scholar Patrick Bond has declared an underground anti-Mugabe organization that receives US government-funding to be part of an independent left, while scholar Stephen Zunes says Women of Zimbabwe Arise, a group singled out in the State Department report as receiving US government funding, can in no way be considered an agent of the US government. These defenders of anti-Mugabe organizations appear to be unfamiliar with the pivotal role played by the US government in nurturing and sustaining Zimbabwe’s civil opposition.
The MDC has received considerable assistance and guidance from Washington and the John McCain-led IRI, in developing and articulating its policy platform, and in formulating strategy to defeat the Mugabe government.
In its opposition to Zanu-PF, it has been helped by civil society organizations funded by the US government through Freedom House and PACT, and by US government-funded community-based newsletters and the VOA’s Studio 7, which have served as platforms for disseminating the point of view of the US government and the views of Mugabe-opponents.
The report, then, reveals how the US government has taken advantage of Zimbabwe’s relative openness to intervene in the country’s internal political affairs to try to bring to power a party whose platform it had a hand in formulating.
Harare has taken steps to counter Washington’s illegitimate interventions, including jamming VOA broadcasts, barring journalists and election observers from the US, and banning some NGOs. These measures have been denounced by Washington as “undemocratic” and “authoritarian” and therefore as reasons for intervention. But the causal sequence is backwards.
The measures Washington calls anti-democratic and authoritarian didn’t cause the US to help the MDC write and communicate its policy platform, to nurture and fund government-hostile civil society organizations, and to provide Mugabe’s opponents a vehicle through Studio 7 and community-based newsletters to shape public opinion. On the contrary, all these things caused Harare to take the measures that have been denounced as anti-democratic and authoritarian as a means to limit Washington’s illegitimate interference in Zimbabwe’s democratic space.
Anyone who was truly interested in promoting democracy would press Washington to stop its interference in Zimbabwe, rather than lionize US-backed civil society organizations as a spontaneously arising pro-democracy people’s movement, as an independent left that people should look to understand what’s going on in Zimbabwe (Bond), or as groups that can in no way be considered agents of the US government (Zunes).

Adopted at the second People’s Congress, August 8th-13th, 1984Preamble:WHEREAS the Zimbabwe African National Union constitutes a Socialist Party; and
WHEREAS it is necessary, desirable and expedient to impose on leaders a strict code of behaviour with a view to assuring the advent of socialism in Zimbabwe;
NOW THEREFORE it is hereby decreed and ordered by the Second People’s Congress of the Zimbabwe African National Union hereinafter referred to as ZANU as follows:-Citation:
1. The rules and regulations hereunder shall be cited as the Leadership Code, 1984.2. This code shall apply to leaders who are members of ZANU.3. In this code, a leader means any person included in the schedule.4. The Central Committee of ZANU may from time to time amend the schedule, except that no such amendment may detract from it.
Personal Conduct:The ZANU Central Committee safeguards and implements policies of the party in their application to the nation and to the leadership. Every leader shall abide by the Party Constitution and policies as the Central Committee shall declare, and shall not:-
* knowingly act or express himself in a way that violates the Constitution,* deal arbitrarily and arrogantly with members of the public or indulge in any conduct which brings the Party into disrepute or ridicule,* disclose Party or Government secrets or any confidential information to any unauthorised or unentitled person,* be seen or found drunk in a public place,* commit acts of immorality,* be repeatedly dressed in a slovenly or inappropriate manner thereby failing to maintain personal neatness and cleanliness.
ZANU leadership shall function within its ranks with candour, honesty and discipline and therefore:-
* A leader shall not deliberately and willfully mislead or give untrue information to the Central Committee or any other organ of the Party.* A leader shall, where reasonable orders/instruction have been given by any person above him, obey and comply promptly with such orders/instruction.* In the case where a leader believes that an instruction from a ZANU official seriously violates ZANU’s constitution or policies, he may decline to carry out the instruction and promptly notify the immediate authority above him of his reasons for his refusal.
The Party firmly upholds the principle of equality of man. Therefore publicly or privately a leader may not advocate or practice any of the following: -
* tribalism* regionalism* sectionalism* nepotism* racialism, and* sex discrimination
ZANU regards corruption as an evil disease destructive of society. Therefore it is hereby decreed that a leader shall not:-
* accept or obtain from any person or for any other person a gift or consideration as inducement or reward for doing or failing to do or for having done or foreborne to do any act in relation to the Party’s business or the business of the Government or for the purpose of showing or forebearing to show favour or disfavour to any person in relation to the affairs of the Party or Government,* give or offer a gift to any person as an inducement to that other person to do a favour or as a reward for a favour he has obtained or been promised,* use funds of the Party or the Government, or produce false receipts and/or account falsely for such monies with intent to deceive the Party or the Government,* make collusive arrangements with commercial or other persons or secretly obtain consideration for himself or for another person or fail to disclose the full nature of the transaction to the party or to Government,* decline to disclose his personal financial affairs or other assets to a properly constituted Party or Government body of officials investigating corruption.
ZANU believes that a leader who concentrates on acquiring property, or who personally engages in the exploitation of man by man, rapidly becomes n ally of the capitalists and an enemy of socialism; and of the masses of the population. Except as provided in this section, and except as required by his official position, a leader may not:-
* own a business, a share or an interest in a business organised for profit; provided that this shall not be interpreted as prohibiting such petty side-line activities as chicken runs, small plots and gardens on one’s residential property;* receive more than one salary;* serve as a director of a private firm or business organised for profit;* own real estate or other property, or an interest in real estate or other property from which he receives rents or royalties;* own more than one dwelling house; except as dictated by family requirements, but in no event shall additional houses be for purposes of earning rents;* except with respect to interest received on account of monies deposited in a savings bank or similar institution, receive interest or other income on account of money loaned to another; “No leader shall indulge in Chimbadzo”;* own or have beneficial interest in more than 50 acres of land;* in addition to a salary, receive fees on account of lectures or professional activities in excess of $1 000 a year;* nothing in this section prohibits a leader from receiving a fee/ or a royalty on account of a book or work of art or patent that he personally wrote, created or invented.
“Relative” means a wife, son, daughter, grandchild or any other relation of the family.“Friend” shall include an acquaintance
Where a relative/friend indulges in business or other profit making activities, The Central Committee shall have a right to ascertain that a leader does not derive any financial benefits from them. In no circumstances shall relatives be used as fronts to business ventures.
The Central Committee shall require that leaders disclose their assets periodically, and when so asked, leaders shall comply. Whilst a leader may secure a loan against his salary, in no circumstances shall he use his position to borrow funds or secure any other personal benefits.
It is the duty of every leader to resolutely defend the Party and Government at all costs against enemies. Failure to do so is a dereliction of duty which renders one liable to disciplinary action.
* This Code shall be implemented by appropriate Disciplinary Committees which must serve as watchdogs of the Party.* A person aggrieved by a decision of the Disciplinary Committee may appeal against the decision to a higher Disciplinary Committee.* The Disciplinary Committee may find a leader in violation of this Code only after it has given the leader reasonable notice of hearing and an opportunity to hear the evidence against him as well as to present his own evidence.* If on the strength of the evidence presented to it, the Disciplinary Committee should find that a leader indeed violated the Code, it shall impose an appropriate sanction on him. The sanction may consist of a recommendation based on the sanctions proposed in the constitution of the party, or/and that Government take appropriate action against the offending leader.Schedule:For the purposes of this Code, the following constitute leaders:-
o Members of the ZANU Central Committeeo Membes of the ZANU Provincial, District and Branch Executive Committeeso Members of the Women’s League National Executive Council, Provincial.
